Facebook, depending on the bike or type there may an FB group and most are usually closed groups to members so you may need to join, but being specific the people know the bikes and value of them and you won't get messed about with tyre kickers or numpty's trying to bid you down.

I'd start here, then ebay.
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Re: Best bike selling medium
Depends on the bike.
When I sold my CCM I tried Gumtree and got a scammer, https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/, and Classic bike magazine.
I had to pay for the ad in Classic Bike, and they got it slightly wrong, but that's the ad that sold it!

I've sold 3 bikes in the last 5 years all through EBay, its advantage is the sheer number of buyers that look on it
Gumtree seems to attract more scallywags

Re: Best bike selling medium
How bad are 'scallywags', exactly?
Do they rate lower than vagabonds and n'er- do- wells ?
I reckon they're one below a rotter or a bounder, but more working class...
