Triumph tiger 800 (xrt) best add on.

Post by dazcoates »

Anyone that rides a tiger 800. ( not the best "adventure" bike in the world, but it's what I've got)
What in you opinion is the best addition or modification that you've made to bike.
Thanks

Put on the 19" front wheel and added a forward front fender extender. Ah, just realised you've got a 19"front wheel anyway.
Wanna buy a 21" front wheel?

Bar risers spite being a short arse made it a lot better for me, sat nav bracket (home made above the screen) was good and a windscreen spoiler on my new one (second tiger for me) makes a difference.
There's a lot of info on the tiger 800 forum
Mind now I think of it the biggest modification that made the most difference was buying a newer tiger with cruise control, it solved my thumb issues, which has bugged me for the last 10 odd years

Just thought I'd try and get some activity going on here . Thanks for those though.
I got a cheap chinese spoiler thingy and works well as well as a £3.90 side stand pad .
Fitted a tool tube and chain oiler.
Garmin , touratech locking satnav cradle off here and cheap Led DTRL.

Mine has now moved on, however these were the mods I made:

Scottoiler - Hate lubing chains.
Metal Bash plate - Plastic one not up to it.
Screen spoiler - Triumph screen is noisy / buffetty.

I have noticed that I tend to try and park up on a slight angle on hills so it's over further ( if that makes sence) . Not only that it feals top heavy as well .
