Drones

Post by dazcoates »

As well as our weekends out on the bike ( I better times) we have an old vw camperthatvwe often go away in .
I've been thinking of using a drone to video areas we visit and maybe follow us on some of the moorland routes we use .
Any recommendations? Nowt too fancy and maybe something I could use when we are out on the bike.

Cheers, , Daz

How deep are your pockets?
There are so many options out there, and with the rumour of the mavic 3 being launched in the future which will only confuse people more.

I find people with drones in remote quiet areas REALLY ANNOYING !!!
Please dont, their sound carries far too much (well they _are_ up in the air) and annoys everybody else around.
Its bad enough riding a bike off road anywhere near the general public already.

I’ve got a Mavic and very rarely use it, people don’t like them, they think your spying on them..everyone I use mine I get asked to stop...to be fair there are quite strict rules now on where you can fly them...ok if your somewhere remote..plus you need to pass a test and carry a licence number on the drone...

I like the idea of them ie video of you riding or cycling/running in a remote area BUT I also think the noise is annoying. We were walking the Seven Sisters coastal path and someone was flying a drone - the sound in nature is very intrusive.

I think drones are great . . . they make superb arial targets for me to hone my catapult skills :D

Pleb up the road from us had one a few years ago and would fly the thing over the house. He soon got the idea that flying over "Steves Space" was not good for the well being of his new toy. Not been seen in the air anywhere near here since :D

I have a Mavic 2 pro and a larger SLR Carrying drone, the Mavic 2 is truly amazing but I hardly use either.

I agree they are fucking annoying orrible things.

I’ve just bought a Mavic Pro with the FlyMore kit off my mate. Mainly for aerial shots whilst I’m travelling.
