Spring in Normandy
Spring in Normandy
Time for another jaunt across the channel and no doubt as we had been good boys all winter the god of lanes shone the sun on Clive and I. This was to be a bit of a recce and a bit further east than we usually ride but all was good and I managed to plan and navigate by satnav successfully. We based ourselves in Vire at an anonymous chain hotel , about 60 euro a night half board each , we got fat. The lanes were muddy, wet and well used by the farmers on their tractors. River crossings which for most of the year we ride straight through were torrents but we survived and the trip a success with the only casualty being my rear wheel bearings....good times...
