R1200gsa clutch on an 2006

Post by tefflon »

Hi all
Is there any one in the Manchester area that could help a good friend of mine out he needs a new clutch fitting.

He thinks he could probably do it himself but then again and he hasn’t the funds to pay BMW prices

So any help would be good

Ta

I looked into fitting one myself on my 2006 gs, being a previous motor mechanic, and it looked pretty straight forward like a rwd car,but upon closer research and a visit to my local independent bike fixer who was in the middle of doing one, they call it breaking the bike in half, literally from the bottom rear of the tank down it all needs removed, and I was also warned about the complications about bleeding the servo assisted brake system.
They also advised changing about 5 or 6 oil seals inside the bell housing/engine while striped.
