LA Crest Highway - Joshua Tree NP - a little bit of Route 66 (the almost interesting section from Oatman through to Williams - Grand Canyon - Monument Valley - Mesa Verde - Million Dollar Highway - Arches NP - Utah 12 - Bryce Canyon - Hoover Dam - Death Valley - Yosemite - San Francisco - Pacific Coast Highway 8-)

Hi Sven,

I’m just wondering what ‘Utah 12’ means, or is. Can you explain?

I’m not Sven, as you know, but I know the answer.
Highway 12 in Utah running East ish from Bryce Canyon. It runs along the ridge of some mountains, the rocks have amazing colours.
I though it was a Wow! when I rode it. Dare I say it, better than Bryce Canyon National Park.....

Thanks mate.

I’ll be getting to the States in a month or so and I’m getting a route together. Any suggestions welcome.

Absolutely not to be missed.

The best motorcycling road I never rode. :(

I'll chip in with Valley Of The Gods / Moki Dugway a bit further east for some mud (underneath the thin top crust of dirt... careful now!)

It will happen one day, I've already driven from Kenya to Mozambique on two wheels and much prefer the east coast to the west coast.

But there's lots of other places I'll be going to.

So I've just done some of the exploration i Indonesia. First a Bali to Bromo 6 day trip where we ended the tour riding inside a volcanic crater at Bromo - East Java while the small active centre volcano was emitting this huge ash cloud which then came down and covered us as it started raining. But it was such a cool experience.

After that I flew back to Bali for some relaxation with the family before doing a 2 Day Bali Enduro trip - again with Adventure Riders Indonesia. This tour was very different to the 6 day tour, and we were put to the test by the guide Kadex. He's good!

We were glad there was a pool at the beach hotel in the afternoon, and a few cold drinks in the fridge. This was a hot and dusty ride :)

Whenever I get a riding opportunity my adrenaline shoots, I won't mind any destination but would consider Spain.
