Hi to all,

Well what a great gathering of people...Great to see faces of old and new people

Thank you to John and all who helped n the organisation of the yule tide rally.

Food was great both nights

Venue was ideal and so was the hut that we stayed in......bbbrrggghhh it was until the purchase of a fan heater sorted that problem out - now toasty warm

Thank you to the staff and the donation of the breakfast money to a good cause.

Norm.

Thanks to John and Tim and all the other helpers--a great weekend. Got back at 4 pm--but did a detour to my cousin's near Stockbridge so a few more miles than the trip down from Lincolnshire. The bike is covered in road dirt--again--it can wait until tomorrow!--on the plus side the screen and deflector kept almost all of it off my visor so I could keep truckin!--and a heated waistcoat saved the day!

First of all a great big thanks to Devon John, without who this event would not get off the ground !!
John from " up North" for the hog roast, and anyone else that helped !!
Thanks to Rob McIntosh for taking the off road ride and Rob from Rospa, for the 160 mile road ride, including a deep ford !
The activity center at Bideford did us proud again, donating all the breakfast takings to the air ambulance.
Food was of the very highest standard, and enjoyed by everyone, local beer and cider washed it down a treat.
As the auctioneer i would like to thank all those generous people who donated items for me to auction, including the ABR mag who gave us some tee shirts and calender's. My good mate John who rides a 1190 KTM, but wants an Africa twin donated through the company he works for a great deal of items, for which we are very grateful. I think almost everybody bought something, some got bargains and others were generous with their bids to help our cause. One poor sod bought a fake bike alarm, but don't tell him as he thinks he got a reel one at a bargain price !! The auction took £ 650
I was asked to auction my hat but no one was carrying that amount of cash.
After a money count this morning it looks like you all raised £ 1055.00 which has improved on last years total.
Thanks to all those that made the effort to come and join us, those that stayed at home missed a great rally.
look forward to seeing you all at Malvern next year, I'm in the middle of sorting out the route for the road run.

I never found out I could go until late Friday evening so it was a 0300 rise Saturday morning scrape the ice of the seat load the bike and head to Devon, Sleet and rain was the first to greet me on the 295 mile jolly from Lancashire, The M5 was closed at junction 4 to 5 both ways, so even at that early hour the A38 was busy to say the least
But I was met by some friendly faces old and new managed a quick bacon butty with a coffee before heading off on a Great ride out expertly led by Rob who went the extra mile by finding us somewhere to clean our wheels half way around, and well marshalled by the great local riders
With my little excursion when we got bark to a fish and chip shop I had done 450 miles 8-)
