Looking good bud I hope you confidence in the remaining parts of the loom works out. As for the super seals is there a video somewhere on how to make them up?

Heres a video of the parts and how they work and go together but I most warn you it is a bit long winded personally I wasn't that confident in just crimping the connections so I also did I little solder job aswell on each connection to help it stay in place a little more and the kit was relatively cheap 15 quid for a kit with 2 6 pin 2 5 pin 2 4 pin 3 3 pin 3 2 pin and 2 1 pins connectors with all the peices needed ..I went for these as they say these are waterproof and no water should get in and reach the connection at all... personally I'd say there more rain proof and splash proof but they are better than the normal connections I have on and they do give a good firm tight connection. I just don't see them being fully waterproof when submerged in a deep rivier crossing

Thanks I have some but they seemed hard to do so I got the ones with pig tails for the Beemer to install the lights and just soldered the ends. I shall endeavour to try again.

They are a pain I got some proper crimp tool from mqplin for 5.99 which work with them a treat but I still did a little solder just in case as I am not keen on just crimp connections they always seem to come lose after a while

I come across an article today and iam really considering the possibility of changing the forks ...I read what a guy put about the conversion in an article and he's turned out great better handling and steering and better off road performance from usd forks andive been reading a lot and debating over last couple of days I dont think there would be any dangerous aspects in the change as I've been reading about my ball bearing bearings in my head and the differences in them and tapered bearings so I think the tapered bearings are better for the forks anyway so I made the leap and I bought a set of YZ 426 wr 426/400/450f USD conversion forks and yokes for the BaghiraRally build and iam just in talks with a guy about a wheel and spindle .
So now iam awaiting to pick up and try for fit just hope what the guys put is right or I just wasted my beer money on forks I won't need :)

they not the best set but once I've cleaned them up and changed everything I think they'll come out great ... I think by time I've finished this build I'll have built my self my own little t7 concept and I won't want one. And it will probably be here and done before the t7 hit's the production line

Been doing a bit lately on the bike done my yokes and there all sanded preped and ready for a nice new coat of primer and some colour when I decide what I want to do iam in 2 minds on whether to had risers to the exciting mounts or grind down the exciting mount sand them up then drill 2 holes for a pair of risers the only thing that puts me of leaving them is there won't be rubber bungs in the riser and as it's a 660 thumper I think the vibrations may be a lot worse if I leave them with the exciting set up

I always change to taper roller headstock bearings, cup n cone balls are crap off road, especially with a heavy bike, taper roller bearing usually last longer too. They do still need to be adjusted correctly though but you can add a tiny bit of preload.

I’ve got YZ forks and triples on my Frankenstein Dakar. They were so much better than stock as they were, but were transformed again when I had them revalved and resprung. Work was carried out by Kevin Bancroft of KB Racing in Malvern. He has a wealth of experience of motorbike suspension and the KYB forks in particular.

I'm a massive rally bike fan. In prep for my Siberia trip I build a rally set up for my WR250R using a XT600 headlight mask, Uberhorn (Stebel Nautilus), dashboard, GPS and Trip computer. You know what I found? It looked great but handled like shit. Make sure you're happy with the extra weight upfront - even my KTM690 RallyRaid kit made it feel weird on the road (although I did go around a MX track with it, which was fun until sense got the better of me)
