Looks well over priced for a secondhand bike, I think the new versions only slated to be around £3500.

Back on the brake debate, been checking alternatives and CMPO have these
https://www.chinesemotorcyclepartsonlin ... rtno_BP038
they have conflicting measurements which ive asked they clarify but i do think the CD F544 is a clue. I re measured the stock one in my bike and got 94mm x 33mm, not sure what spec they are i assume carbon, but at only £4.53 a pair may be worth a punt. Will let you know if i get a mail back from CMPO with their view of the size............not checked if WK have any in their spares department, may call them as well

update on the CMPO brake pads BP038, they confirmed today they are indeed 94mm x 33mm so should be the right size, they are getting the compound info for me but assume they are basic/organic which is fine. May be worth it as a spare set in case WK dont have any in stock or you want to try something different to the EBC option.............

Did the oil change yesterday .Old oil has done over 2k with me but was clean as a whistle as was the oil filter. Took out the air filter for a clean but was like new !
Does anyone know if there is a foam filter option?
The EBC pads are now in and after 30 miles are way better than the flippin' awful original ones.
Off to France and Belgium on the WK Monday, can't wait :D
 oooh we have a Mr Green on here

good to know the EBC brakes feel better............very interested on how the trip goes, places visited, where you stayed, etc etc.......planning to do a trip next year with my brother once he passes his bike test...late starter at 52 lol......the one your doing looks a good option to start with.

Not seen or heard of a foam air filter but happy with the stock one, just dust it out and hoover it now and again should last a very long time

be good to hear how the bike is running as well

Very sorry to all the guys that gave advice for my late reply about my smoking WK  I have been watching the forum with interest!

We stripped the bike yesterday and found to my horror that the gudgeon pin had come loose, either the circlip failed or it wasn’t installed properly and the pin moved causing massive damage to the cylinder wall. Before posting on here, I decided to speak to WK bikes and see if they would at least honour the warranty on the parts, as it was obviously a fault from manufacture/build. The bike is less than a year old and done 1,800 miles. But as you can probably guess they didn’t entertain it as I wasn’t the first owner. After a lot of time I managed to get 10% off, but anyone reading this and thinking of buying a WK bike, I would really consider the lack of warranty, if you are unlucky and need it. On the upside the parts are cheap and everything came to less than £170, new block, piston, rings, gaskets, pin and circlips etc.

So the parts will arrive next week and hopefully I can get back on the road again.

Also, my dip beam lights have stopped working, anyone else had this issue and know the remedy? I changed the bulbs but no difference – full beam still works.

Thanks
Phil

Wow , that would make it smoke a bit !

Suspect you'll find the headlight switch has failed and you're not getting any supply . Think Glenn G fitted a Cagiva switch which looks the same but is better quality .
