Thanks Netsonic. Just checked and I'm reading 0.82v. So in theory if 0.74v is the optimum setting (don't know if there's any variation between units but I assume it should be standard), then my bike will have been over fuelling. I shall check the spark plug to see what condition it's in and if it looks like the bikes been running rich, I will adjust the TPS to 0.74 and try that. Thanks again, I will post my findings.

Adjusted the tps to 0.74. That was the easy part, getting the spark plug out is not. Has anyone had their one out? Any tips/tools needed would be appreciated.
I removed the right hand tank support and the HT lead just pops off, I just can't get any sockets onto the plug (didn't get a tool kit with my bike).
On a side note has one looked into removing the pair system, as it takes up a lot of space and other than reducing emissions I don't think it has any benefits.
Cheers, Norton

Is it the type thats deep in the head that needs a thin walled socket?

Hi andi, it is. I can't get a normal socket in (I think it's 18mm). I have some thin spark plug tools but the short one isn't long enough to get anything to drive it on, and the long one is to long to get in. I shall probably have to fabricate something unless someone has a better solution.

Ask your dad. I will have a look in my garage and try to remember to bring one over tomorrow. Do you know what the plug number is?

Haha, cheers dad. The number was cr9eh-9 according to the manual. The space is limited by the frame though

Yea you probably need one of those cheap Azz double jointed plug tools to get at it.The DRZ400 is similar but the tank needs removing to get to it.

I'll post on here before I offer for sale any where else my wk 400 for sale, I've done nothing to it since I got back from morocco so will need a front screen as the one I had is no good as I put a black film on and the sun has buggered it £17 new from quodzilla also a new clutch lever £10,
I bought it for a morocain trip now that's done its not needed, it's got crash bars and headlight guard, it's a bit smoky when running but only done 2000 miles
It's got two new tkc80's on that's only done about 1200 miles, pro hand grips spotlights and USB power supply

As I've said it's as it is when I got it back from marocco so will need a clean up,
Few scratches here and there but still a bargain

First £1500 takes it, a £100 deposit required, pm me

Guess I won't be riding this BH
After 1500 trouble-ish free miles (a few cut-outs) came out to a flat front this afternoon.
Tried to get it out but ching chong quality 6mm allen key bolt , done up by worlds strongest man has rounded off. Outer came undone ok. Take it spindle is just a large hex head, which too has been done up WSM
Guess it's roof down on the Peugeot to Bruntingthorpe tomorrow.
Was taking the bike to stop me buying.

You tread on the heels of many, till you come where the ways divide.

And one lies safe in the sunlight, and the other is dreary and wan, Yet you look aslant at the Lone Trail, and the Lone Trail lures you on....

Tarry not, and fear not, chosen of the true;

Lover of the Lone Trail, The Lone Trail waits for you"

Bit of a long shot but if you re tighten the good 6mm up as far as you dare and assuming there is a bit left on the bad 6mm try to loosen it, only do a quarter turn then do a quarter turn on the good 6mm and keep alternating along this approach....... (thumbs) ...they should be no more than 15Nm
