Wide boots

Post by Jak* »

Hi can anyone recommend a brand of off road boots for trail riding that are suitable for someone with wide feet?

I take a size 9 and have quite wide feet, so bought a 10 - Sidi Charger - and they fit great. I always wear sealskins or similar water proof socks, so they take up some of the space.

Good luck

These are brilliant!

I've worn them green laning - commuting 400 miles to Aberdeen in the rain, general touring - everything - even comfy enough to go pottering about the Dales on foot for a few miles, straight out of the box.

Really well made!

I am a size 11 or 11.5 and generally have to get a 12 - these are superb!

Forma Adventures
"The trails of the world be countless, and most of the trails be tried.

You tread on the heels of many, till you come where the ways divide.

And one lies safe in the sunlight, and the other is dreary and wan, Yet you look aslant at the Lone Trail, and the Lone Trail lures you on....

....Bid good-bye to sweetheart, bid goodbye to friend, The Lone Trail, the Lone Trail, follow to the end.

Tarry not, and fear not, chosen of the true;

Lover of the Lone Trail, The Lone Trail waits for you"

Thanks to all those who recommended Forma Adventures. I have just got back from the Taffy, about 180 miles each way and two days of trail riding and they were still comfortable when I got home, probably the most comfortable boots I have wron apart from Altbergs. They also kept my feet dry.

I also chose forma (thumbs)
first set of boots I've had that actually were waterproof
just for information
after two months
had a small problem with the seam on the heel
took them back to shop and they sent them to back forma in italy
two weeks later a new set of boot arrived at the shop for me
excellent service from forma (thumbs)
