I think that's nonsense, sorry.
I think they may bring out 2 bikes that share a lot of components. Like they did with the XT660Z, XT660R and XT660X
I say this because of what we have "seen" so far, the two different bikes that appear to be in an advanced state of manufacture and look like they share the same engine and main frame.

if that bike goes into production .......it wont look like anything like that whatsoever
