Don't underestimate how effective a cover is . I was surprised how 'invisible' my bike was in busy Dubrovnik, passers-by walked past with hardly a glance. My Oxford cover was very cheap and scrunched up to a very compact size, okay it's not deterrent as such but deters the curious.

(especially neighbours black cat!! )
unless you cover the cover with sticks or something. (or a `ridge` as suggested on here)


but I agree .. `out of sight, out of mind` .. mostly.

I have actually thought of getting a dog .. just to keep the cat off.
all the other neighbours' cats are well behaved .. its jus this one black b*****d. perhaps the owner is a witch?

I usually cover the cover that hides the real cover (I put a cheap old cover over the expensive one for camouflage and uv protection) with sticks, but they blew off in the strong wind. I usually wrap a double length bungee around to minimise wind fluffing but didn't last time, doh.

for anti-cat devices I have thought of guns, lazers, bright lights, water cannons, thrown catnip (ha ha), but end up hissing and gesticulating and pulling a horrible nasty face .. you can imagine, as I lean out of my first floor window as I got a mass of long white hair and some missing teeth .. poor cat! it gets terrified and runs as soon as it sees me hissing and grinning like a mad Ben Gun. hah . but it comes back after a while for re-training, and to test my defences.

I don't mind cats Sleeping on my cover, its just that they rip up my seat and cause it to get wet in the rain, which I really really hate! .. but a DOG now, that is real class. perhaps I could train it to enter the cat owners flat and rip up her seat of her settee? but I wouldn't.

could you imagine that as a youtube set in a scum bage area, big silent staff or pit under the cover their faces would be priceless,

It would be great! !

We are not legally allowed to defend ourselves in UK or carry defensive weapons but must look after the safety needs of our assailants and robbers.

But the dog likes to sit on my bike? and the cover is to keep him dry?

On tv I saw some guy rig a pushbike with an explosive balloon that went off via phone when scrotes nicked it. Such fun to watch the scums reactions. It was just a shock reaction with no physical harm but would be better with an ied attached?

Anyone remember the series "New Statesman" where Alan B'stard got mugged of his mobile phone...
he handed it over, walked down the road a bit, then pressed a remote control detonator which blew the phone up...and the mugger's hand off?

Perhaps you now need a smaller chain to chain that big expensive chain to the rack

Do you fix the Almax to a solid part of the bike like the frame? or just a wheel . which can be spannered off ?
