As the title says, GSA's can go anywhere......well, with a bit of luck and a bit of help from your friends.
So I was tail end Charlie on the Midlands Rally green lane run and 2 bikes behind Corbus, the GSA rider. He lost the front end in some mud and off he came. Unfortunately the only thing to the left was a steep bank leading down to a river. so down he went, quickly followed by the 250kg beast.
It seemed to happen in slow motion but I saw the GSA flip completely over Corbus as it rolled down the bank. I quickly pulled up and really expected to find a body laying somewhere below. But amazingly he was stood up in the river, a good 12 foot below. As we were at the rear and only 3 of us I asked the Polish lad to ride on and get help. There was no way the 3 of us could recover the beast on our own.
So before the photos, thanks to the 3 Polish lads and CraigRevo for coming back quickly to help.
Now, time for a few photos. As normal, make sure no one is hurt when something like this happens, then get the cameras out.......
GSA's can go anywhere.......
Re: GSA's can go anywhere.......
It was pretty impractical to drag the bike back up the bank. I scouted forward, no way the bike could go forward. Only one option and that was to turn the bike around and get it 100 meters or so upstream to where there was an obvious exit.
Time to move a few obstacles out of the way....

A real team effort from Corbus, CraigRevo and the 3 Polish lads. Thanks all.
Corbus, you had the gods looking down on you. This could have ended up so much worse.
Minor damage to the bike, broke mirror and cracked case that was quickly repaired with Kwik Steel.
As said, no injuries and Corbus even had a smile at the end. I believe a head cam was running at the time. So come on, get the footage up!

I always feel the is an element of selfishness when someone brings a GS on an offroad ride out . They hold everyone up, stop everyone getting as many lanes in in the day then expect everyone to come to there rescue to lift it off the floor or out the mud because they fell for the marketing hype. Nobody minds helping others but after a while it gets tiring. Personally I couldn't go on a ride demanding that of others

Understand what you're saying Kito, but this ride was for all, with any experience and on any bike. All you needed was to be willing. There was another ride out for the more experienced.kito wrote:I always feel the is an element of selfishness when someone brings a GS on an offroad ride out .
