I unpacked my new garmin 300, and fired it up with a few fictitious destinations for practice.
I found all these had gone into the favourits section but when I wanted to clean it up ( removing the unwanted items) I could see no way of doing it.
I did find a reset to manufactures settings,but instead of removing the unwanted stuff, it removed the favourits facility!
Does anyone know if I can reset the thing as it was. I get it all back?

Connect it to your computer and do all the updates.it some times updates your software aswell and while connected you have other options. Try it it might sort it out and it's best to do the updates anyway it might have been in the box for months.cheers Tony.
