Hi,
I'm going to Stella Alpina Rally this year. Super excited. Ticket for Eurotunnel booked. Early Wednesdey monrning 6th to Thursday morning 14th July.
I've had camp before and were abroad once
I plan to take lots pictures on the way and wild camp whenever possible (all the way?)
I don't feel confident. No idea about bike mechanics. OKish riding skills.
Any advice about preparation?
What should I see on the way there?
What roadside cover do you reccomend? I have AA within the UK.
Where can I find more info about route to the campsite itself? I'm good with route planning.
Cheers,
Kris

Re: Total noob doing Stella Alpina.
Hopeing to do the Stella this year also first time, though ive been touring solo in Europe several times. I dont do much pre planning anymore just a destination or turn around point. I prefare to find a campsite that evening and ponder the next days travel over a beer. Never been caught out for somewhere to sleep yet{fingers crossed}. Works for me but not for everyone. Just remember your on holiday. If it starts to feel like work then somethings wrong. May even see you there. Enjoy Mac (thumbs)

Re: Total noob doing Stella Alpina.
Hi all !
I'm heading down for sure tho nothing planned as yet. Will be my second multi day trip since I got my bike - first one to the Stella Rally. Thinking about hitting some of the Alps while down there - anyone fancy linking up at some point?

Re: Total noob doing Stella Alpina.
Hadn't really considered it til I saw C1rex's post yesterday. But it sounds good so I'm going to look at whether it would be feasible for me to go. If I do go I'd be up for meeting up with folk at some point. I'll keep an eye on this thread. Cheers.

Are you riding all the way down too? That would be epic.daytona-supersport wrote:Old Fart. 1953 G80 matchless?

I never used to be but i prefer campsites now just for the facilities shower etc. Try find your own route there planning on a map might find something new
