Can they still be charged some other way without the charging lead?

How loud are they on the loudest setting?

You can put normal AA batteries in, and they take an earpiece and mic so can be as loud as you want them. I used these for bike to bike with cheap headsets before we got bluetooth headsets.

The lead can be picked up anywhere I'd imagine.

Looking rid, so will sell them for £40 delivered to your door.
