Right – this little idea seems to be a goer but I do want to stress to the more nervous out there (& I include myself in that subset), this is a beginners day so we will do our best to pick the easiest routes we can. To use a skiing analogy, we are going to be on the nursery slopes – might have to venture onto a blue piste but we will save the reds & blacks for another day. I hope that you can get an idea to the types of surface we will be on from the pictures that I posted at the start of the thread
With regard to who is coming, I’d be grateful if we could get some idea of numbers – I know it will change. Also, it would be helpful to know whether you are a novice or volunteering to be a ride out leader, what you will be on, & where you are coming from. The last point is so we can meet at an appropriate time; this is about having a bit of fun, not riding through the night to get to Salisbury Plain
So, here we go…

GreatScott - R1200GS on trail attacks - novice off road (done a bit on easy dry tracks with the odd river crossing which was a hoot and a must if there is the opportunity )Mr Free Market wrote:Right – this little idea seems to be a goer but I do want to stress to the more nervous out there (& I include myself in that subset), this is a beginners day so we will do our best to pick the easiest routes we can. I suspect the best thing is take control and tell us where and when we should meet otherwise you'll get a million and one suggestions and no one we know what we are doing - or delegate responsibility to some one - not me - I'm a numpty and can only just about tie my own shoe laces!
Looking forward to it.
