Belfast to Bangor. ..Some pics

Had to pop up to Bangor today so took some pics on the way

First a fine example of engineering

Next a quick stop at the Folk & Transport museum.A mobile steam generator (before anyone asks, that's it in the background)

Then on to Greys point fort. Two large coastal guns. A nice ace to stop a wee museum and a great view across Belfast Lough

Hi Joey,

They are beside Helen's Bay, between Crawfordsburn & Bangor. I have wanted to visit them for quite a while, if you are interested in military history you will not be disappointed. As said there is a wee museum there, and a great spot just to stop for a break and take in the views over Belfast Lough.

I've lived in co down all my life and never knew we had our own guns of navarone.
