thanks gteps/panterg

my bike has no hand rails do they come with the rack or should they have been on the bike
don't have rear foot pegs either come to think of it
looks tidy and a good way of carrying extra fuel (thumbs)
i'm thinking putting soft panniers on the bike and going to Europe on the big girl next year do yah think i'm a little bit mad or a big bit mad :woohoo:

mcdee as far as I know your bike should have two handrails and pillion footpegs as standard...Oohh touring Europe heck youre gonna need some of those fuel carriers yourself without a doubt (thumbs)

gteps, ahh so thats the rack It's just the job for mounting that bracket to, a couple more Q's, does the fuel can have it's own pouring nozzle? is that a small one, 5 litres?
and I noticed you have a new gear lever...looks nice, mines getting a bit sloppy and it doesnt want to tighten up any further, where did you get that one...what make is it?

TIA

Mcdee, mine came with rear foot pegs and the rear grab handles, I believe these were a standard fitment, as airhead has pointed out, if your touring your going to need some extra fuel carrying capability, the standard tank range is rather limiting which is why I fitted the Rotopax and I only use mine for green lane riding.

Airhead, the Rotopax has its own pouring spout which sits inside the can, it's only a 5 litre can as its an emergency backup incase I get low out on the lanes :-)
The gear lever was purchased from David Lambeth of Rally and Overland, not sure of the make but cost me around £25.

Hope this helps, cheers Glenn

hi gteps/airhead
i'm ok for fuel as i have a large acerbis tank as well as standard tank
over the winter i need to sort out a rack and panniers
and a general tidy
the bike is a 97 tt 600 belgarda in pretty good shape but needs a tidy
i'm also after an air filter the type that's on my bike is foam that sits inside a wire basket but i would like a k&n or similar but cant seem to find a match ,its very hard to get info on this model
thanks
ps gteps watch that trigger finger of yours

Heres a couple of links that might help:

Macdee, good to hear you have the larger tank, would have gone that way myself but looking at the cost and the distances I'm likely to ride it was a better option to go the Rotopax route.

Hi , Google DNA Filters for your air filter - not sure is yours is the R Model with Ohlins rear shock ?
You could also have a look at www.off-the-road.de
Cheers
