Rugged phones
This thread reminded me I still had this in my man draw.
Nokia 5210 rubber case and shock and water resistant.
It was my trail riding phone of choice years ago.
Plus small and light with a battery life of a week!
The Marlboro are for size comparison.

Re: Rugged phones
Now that brings back memories. Had one of those. Cracking little phone. Did everything you wanted plus bouncing
I'll second the case suggestions as that is my approach of choice on the bike.

Re: Rugged phones
I like these rugged phones, Not got one yet. I don't want or need the new phones around today. All I need is to call someone and send a text. Camera, inter web, face fcuk and all that other stuff you are able to do is no interest to me.
My phone at the moment is a Nokia N8 and it's got more stuff than I can possible want to use. It's only the 3rd phone I have had in over 10 years.
Way to much techno these days.
Just my 2 bob's worth.
Cheers Dave.

Re: Rugged phones
I know that it's not a "rugged" phone, but I have been considering one of these SpareOne phones to keep under the seat of the bike in case of emergencies: their web site is http://www.xpalpower.com/spareone/spare ... -phone.php
They have a 15 year battery life hmy: and plenty of other features for an adventurer.
Worth a punt at only £49.99!

Re: Rugged phones
I use the Samsung B2100 and the Sony Experia Go St27i, both are single sim and both have survived my nephews 'wash in the sink with his toothbrush' test. I also sail for a living and both these phones are good. I'm going to try the £130 dual sim on the 1st page though.
