Piel - Friday night
Re: Piel - Friday night
You know me Coasty. Gentle! OK, maybe not so gentle for a loaded Buel. But its only really the first trail that will cause issues. The rest should be OK. So bypass the first trail (Ill point you where to go so we meet up). Will be good to see you again.coasty wrote:Put me down please .... Was wondering what was happening on the Fri .. Not sure about the trail ride ... How gentle is gentle ?? The Buell is no gs off road !!

No vids, but theres a few photos on this thread.RobertG wrote: Has anybody got video of the tricky trail sections from last year. Or even a few coordinates to "investigate" on my way there on the Friday. I am windy about taking fully loaded 1200GS (albeit on knobblies)too far off road.

The first trail may be an issue on bigger loaded bikes. So the choice is to ride around or we man handle the bikes up. Ive done them on a loaded 950 adv in the past with no probs, but a Buel or GSA may be another story. After this first trail the rest should be OK assuming you have some off road experience.

Re: Piel - Friday night
This is the start of the first trail. This will be the hardest. Continue along the road to the farm. Pass through some gates into the farm courtyard. You want the gates on the left. The trail is then a rocky climb. On a GS Id say go round but you know your own abilities.RobertG wrote:Or even a few coordinates to "investigate" on my way there on the Friday. The rest of the trails should be OK on a GS. Some rocky decents but were all done by a GSA last year.
