I live so they say in the most isolated city in the world, "Perth W.A."

Reading your posts make me realize how lucky I am, the state of W.A. can take 3 or 4 days to ride top to bottom.. Even longer if you stay off the black stuff, which is very easy as there are so many dirt roads to ride on with very few cars & no police to speak of..

I think the answer is different to everyone, but every ride is an adventure... I'm just lucky to be in a place where you can just ride & ride & ride & hardly come across another vehicle.

Anybody want to visit, give me a shout as there are always people planning to go somewhere..

Oh mate that looks and sounds something like heaven to me

Its funny but I will quote ogri here "The more people I meet the more I like my dog"

As Im getting older and growing up a bit ive found I actually enjoy my own company for

long periods of time which then makes my time with friends and family much better you

could say the feeling become more concentrated or stronger.

I reckon their is no such thing as an adventure rider, only a rider.
If every ride is an adventure then that can be on anything from a C50 to Goldwing.
But "adventure bike riders" are different as we purchased a machine to make the adventure more pleasurable.
It cant have anything to do with whether or not you ride all year, as that's just a preference to hot weather.
I hate riding in the cold and only really do it if theirs a group for fun.
But that's not to say I not a Adventure rider, because if I lived in OZ Id ride all year. ;)

Any bike yes agree totaly but id have to say there are many varieties of RIDERS from the kids on scoots geting to college mx ers who have nowt to do with the greenlaners sports bike riders who wobble round then spend all day sat outside the dealers talking rubbish rally goers who ride all kinds of everything anywhere and generally worship the great god "beer"

Adventure riders do exist They might have a plan but it changes ,just because it does and we are inclined to try something different and new and take the road less traveled. In all fairness the real point is going into the unknown(for you) trying a change just because you heard or saw something that sounded interesting

hornet who rides a sports bike but has the adventure spirit

100% agree with that mate, I'll ride in proper shoite conditions if there is a reason to, which is as you say, generaly has a group or fun element involved.
Also drawn to it's natural conclusion the OP is saying that peeps with only one form of transport [bike] are more adventurous than someone who has 3 (Del and Rodney) or 4 wheels, which is a choice they make either through financial, or lifestyle constraints.
Right now I'm about to don my trilby hat, brown leather jacket and bull whip..Indiana Jones.
Not for an adventure, but the kids are out and the Mrs is calling me.....
The end of the road is the start of the fun

A bad day on the bike is still better than a good day at the office

I agree with all the above and would like to add that we bike and kit we buy are items that we would like to think can take us that little bit further from the well used roads of our familiar life.

I also agree...

So much so that I've just nicked my mates 1200GS for a trip heading north...as i have a few days off...

My 640ADV is an amazing bike if you are truly out bush but my age & my arse are not prepared for a 1,000kms of Riding(Even with the Renazco seat) up the coast mainly on the black stuff..:( to sit by the beach espec when your mate say "Of course you can take my Beemer" He's away in Tassie ...:woohoo:

As for visitors.....Any time you like... Always have a garage available & lots of biking mates to help out...

It's a tradition over here, we feed you... you bring the piss !!!:)
