One man tent
Hi every body it's tent time for me I am doing a trip end of June Manchester to marbella and I want to buy a new light tent.i have been looking at the gelert solo and the highlander solo which I belive are the same tent apart from the highlander is 2000hh and the gelert is 1500hh both go up the same they are very light and pack up small and if it is really hot you can just sleep in the inner tent without the fly sheet.anyone know anything about these tent.there pretty cheap to.or any other tents on the market for about £50 cheers tony
Re: One man tent
well lets hope it dosent rain because you will be sleeping in a bath tub..1500-2000 is shower proof you need 5000..
this one is smaller pack size and weight..goes up quick and will keep you dry and also cool just open side and front doors to let breeze through..goes up and down as one..
they say 2 man but its just big enough for 1 man and helmet and jacket the solo you mention is even smaller...

I agree with Tramp.
Are you sure you want a 1 man tent?
A small 2 man is much better...are you sure you want to leave you lid, botos, jacket etc outside?

I have just bought a Vango Banshee 200 and am wondering if it will be big enough for me and my stuff.
Seems small to me after a Khyam biker 2/3 tent. One man ha thats laughable , ok if your walking with a small bag !

Re: One man tent
I agree with the others, a 1 man tent is just to tight if using it with your kit.
A 2 man tent is the much better option giving more room for not much more bulk when packed

Re: One man tent
Its very important to read the label. A 1 man tent is exactly that: 1 man. No room for gear.
A 2 man tent is also just that, 2 men, but no gear.
Or, a 2 man is 1 man plus gear and to be honest is the bare minimum. A nice 3 man with a porch is real luxury camping with not much difference in weight.
