Garmin Sat-Nav - Zumo 340LM

Post by kawasakier6f »

Morning all.

Garmin Sat-Nav - Zumo 340LM

Does anyone know if the above sat-nav is self correcting like the TomTom, if you make a wrong turn.

Thanks

I know the cheaper Garmin Model does not have this facility

Thank you in-advance

Hi Adrian
Thanks for the info
Found out a lot more about the Garmin 300 series, including a Tyre Pressure Monitor System
£49, a lot cheaper than the BMW £230

The Garmin does a lot more than the TomTom. The route planning software looks really easy to use

I love my Garmin and have always owned Garmin products. They're not everyone's cup of tea and can take a bit of getting used to. The software is not the most intuitive but I've never had any problems

I tried mine yesterday on an Easter egg run with more than one stop and it recalculated all the time just like my Tom Tom.

auto reroute is fine if you like blindly following the sat nav

if it's like the 590
it's switchable
also make sure you have got allow uturns on
and reroute promted

as at least you know when you are of route
and can decide for youself to carry on or not
because if you don't notice it on a long back road
it will keep you going forward
till it finds a left left and left
to turn you around and bring you back on route

I found out the hard way
don't ask

cheers vince
