Stove carrying.
Re: Stove carrying.
I agree with Willy_E. You're being paranoid. Stoves are designed to be thrown into backpacks and lugged around with everything else on top of them. Or being similarly abused. Just chuck it in a pannier, it'll be fine.

I second that, but then again while you lot are already having a cuppa at the boil I`ll be there with my cheap sh**y multitool straightening the pan stand before I start! :laugh:Roadcat wrote:I agree with Willy_E. Try the bleuet Micro by campingaz, this fits directly on to the gas cylinder and as it says it is very small and packs neatly away, we usually put it inside the pans.

Not sure what you would carry it in.
I'm another trangia user. Had it probably 20 years and its been dropped, kicked and had a pretty rough life and still going strong.
It will probably last another 20 as well.

I use one of these small fold up jobies that screw on a small or large gas bottle :woohoo:
Leaves more room in your paniers for more pants

I've been using the JetBoil lately, and bought some accessories i.e. frying pan, coffee plunger and stove stabiliser for use with larger pans or on uneven ground. Is very quick to the boil ie 'Jet' and worth the extra dosh.
Oh and it all packs away into itself, apart from the pans
