No you don't, you just need to find more twisty bits R2M !!

Only joking mate

I did see an American you tube advert video of a better engineered version made out of some lightweight metal with a screw adjuster for about $40 ish

Can't remember where it was but it looked very well made and robust and worked on the same principle

He's taking a sabbatical from the bike and indulging in his new passion, VW camper vans. I can text him and get him to get in touch with you RTM.

I saw one of those in a photo, I think on the ADV site, and wondered what the hell it was!

As you are after another one do I take it you recommend the product R2M?

Throttle Mate

I've had 2, work brilliantly BUT they snap so easily if you want to remove and refit for whatever reason so not bothering again, probably get the alloy adjustable one that's mentioned earlier in the thread.

THEY ARE A LITTLE WEIRD AT FIRST, unlike a cruise control, that adjusts as the road undulates, the 'mate just keeps the throttle where it is and therefore the revs. The road goes up hill you slow down, down hill you go faster.

Easy to fit and use, and as one gets a little ache in the right hand after years of excessive use.... it helps on occasion. 80)
