anyone got experiance with strap ons ??

Tents, Sleeping Bags, Oxygen Chambers...that kinda stuff

agreed.. i've been using these from halfords for the last 3 years on my bike to secure a bag to across the luggage rack/backseat.

then a cargo net over the top for things like wet towels, water etc, and bungees to hold things on the top of the panniers...

Have a look at these used them with a cargo net to hold bag on pillion seat containing tent, bag and mats with no problem. Nice and soft so no scratches cheers Spud ;)

I tend to use bungees to keep my scottish wife in place when she rides pillion.

Re the Halford straps, again try BMW dealerships they often give them away.

I'm a tight wad therefore every penny saved a penny saved?
