A5 lunatic

Found a great video then post it up here. It doesn't have to be about bikes.

A5 lunatic

Post by Tyrant68 »

I'm not into naming and shaming motorists but when I caught this on helmet cam... :(
"The trails of the world be countless, and most of the trails be tried.

You tread on the heels of many, till you come where the ways divide.

And one lies safe in the sunlight, and the other is dreary and wan, Yet you look aslant at the Lone Trail, and the Lone Trail lures you on....

Had that happen to me a few times, they see a bike and think there's room, I just get as far left as I can when I see what's happening.

Had a similar experience on the way up to Ullapool last year. Something we all need to be wary of, you get the feelingthat some of these people see you but crack on with the overtake anyway, and assume you are going to give way, which you will do if you want to say alive.

Is this any different to a motorbike overtaking against on coming traffic, where there is room. I do that all the time.............

Different in that oncoming traffic dont have to move out of your way to avoid a collision

I wonder if you were riding a big white RT 1200 BMW with the blue lights etc etc, would he have done the same dangerous overtake ?...

Blatant disregard for the bikers safety in my opinion.
If I'm not online.............
