Good weekend to get out on my new baby..

Post by Xcite »

The bike is now here :) , managed to get some mileage under my belt yesterday and again today, now sitting on around 300 miles, , not long before its first service.

First things first, I am glad I have a full face helmet otherwise I would have a ton of rubbish in my mouth – Why you ask? It’s because I can’t wipe the smile off my face, what a well balanced comfy responsive bike.
I did not get all the bits I wanted fitted before I picked her up as they were waiting for a few of them, but they did manage to fit the heated grips and my arrow, what a sound, she sounds like a tiger in the jungle with the low deep growl as she stalks her prey . Once she has a few more miles on the clock and the engine starts to loosen up it will be time to hear what she sounds like when she is a little angry.

But even keeping the revs down for now the response is great, no messing about, if you ask you get it, a truly capable bike, and so, so much fun. I am even grinning like a Cheshire cat writing this after my ride today. Crap roads! Not a problem some of the roads I use which have been problems, gravel, pot hole and just generally bad surfaces were no issues we just glided over them as if they were not there.
This is the first bike I have ridden of this type for some time and I am very happy with the way it just looks at the road in front and says “come on then” it just does the job really well.
Comfy? Yes with all the miles covered today I don’t feel stiff or anything I am well pleased, and the standard seat is just right I don’t see the need for going down the gel seat option at all.
The heated grips have not been off the red setting and they work really well.
I know it’s only few hundred miles into riding my new baby, but I am so impressed. But as they say the black ones with the silver frame are obviously the quickest and the best, and soon to be unique LOL. I could go on and on about it, but many posts have already said it, so I won’t. Plus you guys already have one and you know what I am talking about. Can’t wait for the running in period to be over so I can let the tiger out if its cage as it were… a few pics or some may call it bike porn .

Followed my mate on one yesterday and it looked so poised around the bends and that engine noise!!! Need to go look see i think, his was black too ( very common now!);)
For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travels sake. The great affair is to move
