What Are Your Planned Adventures For this Spring/Summer?

Post by SteveW »

I kick-off on 3rd April with 2 buddies across Europe to Romania and Bulgaria. Two days off-road in Bulgaria (Crf 250 Hondas), then down into Greece, across to Italy through the Alps and back to N.W England.
about 16-18 days, 5000+ miles. KTM 990, New GS1200 and a BMW 1200S (sports bike thingy)

I'm off to Kortrijk, Belgium for Easter with the missus & a few friends. Ride through the day, drink Belgian beer in the evening. Bliss

Easter: Bulgaria to Germany via Albania and Croatia: On the "parts-donor Trannie" for the "Mongolia Trannie"
Summer: Mongolia to Magadan via BAM and OSR (weather dependent) and back: On the "Mongolia Trannie"

In between Dales day-trips, Wales greenlaning and a couple of weekend forum-meets (ABR, XRV and HU). On DRZ/Af Twin/Triumph Thunderbird Sport.

I am going to the Picos area of Northern Spain at the end of May for a week. I answered an advert on another forum for a rider to make up a foursome, the other three riders are touring buddies but as yet I haven't met them. We are hoping to meet up for a quick blast round the lakes in April

I have spoken to the tour organiser a few times and he sounds like a decent guy.

It should make for an intersting tour, I will keep you posted

I was considering a war museum tour, not that I'm all that into wars, but I pass Duxford every month or so and never get the chance to go in, and really want to go to Bletchly Park.

Add to that a colleugue who says there is a submarine museum in Liverpool, then a tour could be on the cards.

London, Camridge, Bletchley, Manchester and Liverpool, could make a good long weekend.

Thats without the tank thing on the South Coast, and there must be more......
