Then the long slog up the A9. Very busy road and it started to rain heavly.
Got bored with the A9 and pulled of onto a few b roads.
The rain stopped and the sun came out as we pulled into Elgin.

So that ended Thursday and left a few days to explore.
The weather forcast told us very little so we just got on the bikes and followed the blue sky north along the coast from Dornoch.
Watched the seals for a few minutes
Before heading west to Ullapool and Applecross.
Found a cheap hotel in Kyle of Lochalsh and then headed for a quick blast over to Sky, returning for a well earned beer.

That left us time to do Carlisle this morning and still be in good time for the 3.30 Stenna from its new base at Cairnryan.
Great trip, very little rain, 90% dry roads.
Better than expected before leaving home.
1030 miles from door to door at over 11 miles to the litre. :cheer:
