Help!! GS won't start...

Post by stuartgoble »

Confused as hell...
The GS fired up and ran this morning for a few mins. I went back to the wee beastie and now I have the engine electronics fault up on the display and a nasty clicking when I try to start it. Engine won't turn over and I've no idea why.
Any help appreciated, as I'm stumped as to what's changed from this morning.

I thought that but it's a fairly new battery. But you're both right, I put the battery on charge for about 20 mins and it started first time.

Time for a new battery me thinks... But it should last longer than about six months, so not impressed.

If your bike is running an alarm system, its always good practise to connect an optimate when its not in use for a week or more.

I normally do, and the Optimate was plugged in. HOWEVER, SWMBO had unplugged the extension lead from the wall socket of the garage for some unknown reason...

Note to self, change locks on garage doors...
