Just goes to show you dont need a big bike to have fun. I passed my test 36 years ago this year, and almost all of the good rides I remenber are from when I was riding a small bike.

Good effort mate and nice pics. B)

I'd love to have a small bike again to bad I can't afford 2 bikes, it just wouldn't be practical for me having just a little one :( .baby vara's are right up there on my list with a derbi and a van van. I loved my little 125 trailee even if it was a dodgy Chinese one. It used to take me all over the place with all sorts of stuff, even did nearly 200 miles in a day with the Mrs on the back, the only problem was when we pulled up at the cafe and the power rangers gave us some funny looks. To bad some pickey stole it :( .

great ride report B)

just goes to show how capable small bikes can be. done a few long trips myself on the vanvan and the bikes never missed a beat. plenty of greenlanes thrown into the mix too. my mates even started taking his vv on trails 2 up. just need to sort panniers out (im working on it) and i dont think ill need to 'upgrade' for quite some time.

Nice route mate – 125cc or 1200cc makes no difference when the scenery is that spectacular.

You need only look at the mileage on used bikes to realise what the average covered by many riders is. I find it insulting when bikers look down their noses at 125s and yet their own bikes have covered just 4000 miles in 5 years (yep, I know quite a lot of those kind).

Ride it and enjoy it – those first long-distance trips are the best for sure.
