How do I measure the pitch of a sprocket???
Re: How do I measure the pitch of a sprocket???
The most accurate way might be to get 2 drills which fit perfectly into the bottom of the teeth put these in opposite teeth then measure from the inside of one to the outside of the other (this gives the pitch diameter) the multiply this by pi (3.1416) then divide by the number of teeth. That sould be almost spot on providing the diameter of the drills are spot on(because the length is acurve not straight).

:silly:
hmy:  :side: :S
I'm really confused now
The chain (520) fits on the rear fine. Tiny Tiny bit of sideways movement on the teeth.
Looks like just a new front sprocket then!!
