I've got a couple of friends who are interested in coming to the rally. Both are on XT660 Z Yamahas and both are wanting to do the off-road riding.

Neither have confirmed as I just brought it up in conversation but they sound keen. I will get a more positive response next time I see them.

hi, I live in norwich, but i am busy with commitments that weekend, I may be able to get away for 1 day, would like to attend any green lane/off-road part of the weekend (either on a DR250 or transalp 600)

is that possibe?

what are the dates/times/locations for the off-road bits of the weekend?

Wow! This really is looking to be a fantastic meet.

Sorry I haven't been of any help lads. Still planning on being there. Few things going on but hopefully all will be good on the day.

Will have to pack the decent camera gear.

Hi ds,
You can come for all or part of the [strike]mayhem[/strike] errm weekend, :P you could even camp up go to work and return if it suits, the emphasis is on laid back fun and flexibility.
I hope this helps, taken from the following thread....http://adventurebikerider.com/forum/29- ... -2012.html

The first concerns a lunch stop for the Off Road group; I don't know if the distance would put us either too far or too close to this place, but how about the Lucky Bastards Club, US 8th Air Force WWII pub, that we went to last summer?
And if not does anyone have any suggestions for a stop off?

Second, in the spirit of James and Nicks comments, what I think we need is a run through with timings to give us an idea of approx where we'll be and when.
I've roughed out a loop for the off-road run, based on the discussions on Sunday: from the campsite across the coast, down Peddars Way then some lanes around Thetford. At that point we have to get back to the campsite, so where possible, I opted for some country lanes, many are single-track, for the return leg (there many be some more lanes, but need more investigation). The loop is about 180 miles and it really does need to be checked for access/legality as well as timing. Could it be too knackering? We should decide on a route and then test it  .

Let's see if this link works...
http://maps.google.com/?t=p&z=15&ll=%2C ... 2892a9ba51

Some of Peddars Way near Swaffham needs checking. I have by-passed the bits I know to be restricted.

Anyhoo, this should give us something to start with. Thoughts?

EDIT: just checked the location of the pub (The Swan Inn, Coney Weston); it's easy to add in, just after starting the return leg...
Timings etc, will be decided a little closer to the rally, but I'm guessing at an 09.00 09.30 as a civilized kick off time.

Hi Farky,
Yep it's looking good, I just hope it lives up to everyone's expectations and I'll be a happy man.
Looking forward to meeting up and riding in the near future.
We should be getting in one or two practice runs before the main event, and it would be good to have you along.
Hope all's well at your end.
Mark.
