Foxholes Castle Camping is a Touring Campsite for tents, caravans and camper vans, it is situated on the Shropshire Welsh Border an area known as the Welsh Marches, ten minutes walk on the Shropshire way from the beautiful market town of Bishops Castle.

It is an ideal campsite to explore the countryside, on foot, bike on road, or off road. With The Long Mynd, the home of the Midland Gliding Club, Wild Edric’s Way and Offas dyke.

The Shropshire/Wales boarder is a rich historical landscape with a wealth of castles and museums. Just over the Mynd, is Acton Scott the historic working farm where Victorian Farm was filmed. Going north along the Wenlock Edge we come to the town of IronBridge, so called because of it’s great influence on modern industry today with its Iron gorge museums and first iron bridge! IronBridge also houses Blists Hill a Victorian town.

South East of the campsite is The Blue Remembered Hills Centre at Craven Arms. The Discovery Centre offers a balloon ride with a difference. Nearby Stokesay Castle continues the rich historical interests of this landscape and it’s past residents.

Continuing along from Stokesay Castle the small town of Ludlow, with its Castle and a well-deserved reputation for excellent dining. Ludlow Food Festival held annually, but is renowned for its good quality of food and dining year round, with its local produce market and Michelin star restaurant, La Becasse.

Foxholes is in prime position for camping and visiting Welshpool with, Powys Castle and its beautiful gardens and collection of treasures and Llanfair Ceireinion light railway.

Clun is a 10-minute drive from the campsite, or a beautiful walk through farm and woodland. Clun and its surrounding villages are famous in the work of A E Houseman. In the motte of the ruins of Clun Castle the annual Green- man Festival is held on the second bank holiday in May, as well as the Clun Valley Beer Festival in October.

Can we have fires? All fires must have campsite owners’ permission. Fires must be raised, contained, supervised at all times, and must not burn the grass. The campsite does have limited fire drums to hire out and bags of logs for sale. Wood must never be sourced from hedgerows or natural habitats.Hire on first come first served basis.

Question, is there any chance of doing this week before or after? My nieces wedding is this weekend and I can't get out of it, but I really wanna go to this.

Please, please please will you fix it for me Jim?

Subscribed to this one, looks fab. I note that its only the w/e after the Dragon Rally -traditionally amongst one of the harshest w/ends of the year.

I saw this on the Facebook page. Do we have to register in advance or can we just turn up? I'm not sure yet if I can definitely make it.
