I drove there from liverpool about 18 months ago in the car and took me 8.5 hours with only two quick stops mate. If I were you I would head up on Thursday after work and stop off for the night in Glasgow or even Stirling. Either way have a good weekend pal and take it easy, sorry I can't make it
