Happy to help out but, and it's a big but, we are running another bikesafe that weekend and unless the number of punters is on the low side I'll be needed on the Saturday for the practical sessions. As soon as we get final numbers I'll advise.

I'll hopefully still be able to dash up afterwords and at least get Saturday night in Ullapool.

happy to lead route, not worried how many folk, good pace. Will discuss beforehand.

Just to bring this thread back to the top . . . . . and ask those heading north for the weekend to have a look at the routes detailed in the first post of this thread and have an idea of which one, if any, you'd like to do.
As Craig has said previously, there aint that many roads up here to get lost on, but a map is a must, just to get a good idea of the distances involved . . . . . there is a lot of Scotland north of Glasgow & the central belt, and still a good bit to the north of Inverness & Loch Ness, so it can take some people by suprise.

Not mentioned any where that I've seen on any thread about this rally, so I thought I'd fire it into this post . . .

The nearest bike garage to Ullapool for spares/tyres etc is Mitchells in Inverness, a little under 60 miles

Darn and blast.
I def wont be able to make this weekend now as we have a full house for bikesafe on the Saturday so it's all hands to the pumps for the practical sessions.

If all else had failed I was hoping to make the Saturday night for a few beers but I don't even think that will be possible now.
