ABR Holy Grail Rally 2012

Post by James691 »

(Once an Admin creates a section I will of course move all the posts to that section - it is the Christmas period, so it may take a few days ;)

Welcome Adventure Rider!

The 2012 season of the quest rally is now upon us and will be open to riders from the stroke of midnight that brings in the New Year – I expect to be picking up puke covered youths from a gutter, rather than setting forth on a 12 month quest but you may have better fortune than I!

We have put together something a little out of the norm, places you may never have gone to and sights you may never have witnessed. Here now is your opportunity to pit you and your steel horse against some of the most amazing roads and buildings that the UK has to offer.

Should you accept the quest, you will be sent over the far reaches of the Kingdom in your search for the most historically elusive article of all time – The Holy Grail.

A quest – another form of adventure awaits you if you are willing and able to take up the gauntlet of opportunity – as always there is no cost for this adventure, other than your own tenacity to reach – The ABR Grail!

Once you have completed the quest, only then will the resting place of the ABR Grail be sent to you by email – there, revealed to you is the location that can see you ride forth – an ABR Knight.

26 Locations are required to know the resting place and be dubbed an ABR Knight and the stages are as follows.

An ABR Page – requires 15 Locations

An ABR Squire – requires 20 Locations

An ABR Knight – requires all 26 Locations and the final quest for the collection of the Grail.

Go on then. Do we have to select our own numbers? ABR flag for proof at the location?

What happens to verify a visit when close vehicular access and parking is limited to residents only ... like Exeter??

To get a photo at the Chapter House at St Pauls at the moment you would have to park on a soap dodgers tent!!!

Sounds like a noble quest. Perhaps I'll get further than with the National Parks, although I enjoyed what I did for it's own sake

How about we keep numbers from the National Parks, at least my board will get some use.
I'm sure there is trust enough on here to substitute another proof photo.
