I agree, think that would be a great idea. There must be quite a few stories out there to tell...

I'm 22 and only owned old trailies. Just what I started on and I like them. Current main bike is my 82 XL500R. Done over 15,000 miles on it in just under 2 years on various trips. Been perfect for what I've wanted. Had some great adventures

But they won't have traction control, multi fuel maps, a gizmo to tell you its cold and a 5 figure price! Its astounding bikers survive a year or two without "progress"

Good idea for a bit of a change. I used a BSA for years on the trails most week ends, long distance trials, club trials as well as riding it to work every day. Possible one of the best all round bikes that I have ever owned. I wish I had kept it. There really is no need to spend big bucks on the latest toys unless you want the speed and ease of a modern machine. A go button is a luxury sometimes. If you want a laugh and a bit of a challenge, try going back in time. The PE Suzuki 175 /250 and 400 were good bikes along with a lot of other old Brit and Jap bikes. The last of the twin shock KTM and "Maygo" bikes were mad two strokes, I raced a 380 "Seize up" (CZ). The 250 CZ with the coffin ally tank was another good cheap trail bike. There are loads of fun bikes out there at sensible money.

Nathan spotted my G/S Paris Dakar at the Donnington HISS event earlier this year and asked if he could do a feature on the bike. Unfortunatley he left the magazine about four weeks after we had met up for a few photos and a chat. His view was that the readership were looking for articles on the older adventure trail bikes. He did send me the photos, but I don't have them on this computer, Soz.
I would certainly be interested in some articles about older bikes; trips, history, specs, photos, owners.....
