With all the spammy threads and the MODs failing to address the issue is there any way I can delete my profile and all my info.
As I know feel that my personal data bus at risk.

So how can I get it deleted.

Good point! I’ve just cleared mine.

Just click your username above the ‘Quick Link’ box.
Click ‘Profile’
Click ‘Edit Profile’ next to your username and away you go.

If you want to delete your profile thats fine, although I'm sure you will be missed. I don't think that spam posted to a forum is quite the same as spam posted to your personal email address. If you get spam to your personal email, someone has ' found out' your email address and possibly other information about you , personally. One of my emails can easily be found online, because I have a business , so I get a lot of spam. Just because some idiot has posted about 100 relatively harmless messages to a forum doesn't mean that it's security has been breached, just that it isn't monitored 24 hours a day. We are all busy and I'm sure the messages will be deleted soon enough, once the mods know. In fact I'm going to email one of the mods now to let them know, they are probably all busy doing their Xmas shopping.......

And most likely these profiles are not real people, but spambots...

just don't click on any dodgy links and you'll be fine.

I’ve moderated this forum since its inception. I check it every morning, lunchtime and evening. But, I have a living to earn so can’t be on it every minute of the day. I do this voluntary, not for reward.
I can remove offending posts and ban the spammers. The ABR staff are working on the problem now.

I can confirm that these are just PITA spambots and no member info is or has been compromised.


We've also just added extra security measures which should put a stop to spambot signups.
