4 oclock problems

4 oclock problems

Is it jyst me buf everyday now at around 4pm the forum goes down for a while?...i try to access on my android tab and phone and get blank pages...

Starting to get rather tedious :o :twisted:

Yep I have had the same on a few occasions , thought it was my iPad playing up.

Not sure about the time but I keep getting a menu come up with what seem like advertising links.
This is a direct opening from my bookmarks.
It seems ABR related but nothing to do with the main website or forum.
I’ll try and remember to do a screenshot next time.

The 4pm 'coffee break' is being looked at now.

What we do know is that the server is not going down and it is not ABR specific - it is happening on all our websites. We've a database expert lined up to check what is actually happening.

DavidS - please post up a screen shot, this is not something we have come across or aware of.

Sounds like 4pm is "backup-o'clock" or some other maintenance task kicking in and making the server busier than normal so less able to serve up content - should be a fairly easy thing to spot if that is the cause.

Can you also do something about all the spammy gits. That seem to register as members and then post.
Really annoying especially the ones offering essay writing, whose spelling and grammar is even more worse than mine :geek:
