The icon to change profiles has disappeared.
Anyone else had this?

If it has gone from the start screen look for it in the main menu.
Or add it as an icon on the start screen ( it is user optional to have it there).

I ended up doing a reset and starting again. Didn't lose any waypoints or tracks so wasn't all bad.

You need to perform factory reset of your device. After performing factory reset your profile icon will be restore. Check Garmin Montana 650T Manual for factory reset instructions and other details.

You can drag & drop them around on the screens including from what Garmin calls the drawer (^ symbol) onto the main screen.
Or in Setup go to Main Menu and select the + symbol where you want to add it
