down loading route from Tyre Map to Tom Tom

Post by wiggy57 »

Hi,

Help needed to down load the Offas Dyke route. If I try to down load the waypoints on route it says that there are to many I should split the route.

thanks

The TomTom will only accept up to 48 max waypoints so if the file you have exceeds this number you will have to split the route, or remove some waypoints. Chances are you are trying to load a route created by Garmin, although you can use them, the Garmin may exceed the number of waypoints for the TomTom. Try the following guide

Also check in the preferences menu when you import the file you have tom tom as a default not garmin. Faffed around with that a while before I noticed :(

I use tyre as well, the old tomtom riders only allow so many waypoints, the newer you can add over a 100 for get tot amount.
Remember you can save the route as tyre or Tomtom (ttn) If you really need all the waypoints i would split the route

Try importing it as waypoints only and not a track :)
