Tomtom software

Post by vRSG60 »

Well thanks to a generous soul off this forum I managed to get Germany maps for the TomTom out Rupse unit, but the software oh my!!!! I have specific routes set with way points.
Stop anywhere for any length of time and it tries to re- route you back to waypoints you've already passed.
That's if you're lucky. Seems Tomtom can only deal with so many waypoints, today's ride ended 115 miles short of our destination even though Tyre showed the whole route, so back to the trusty IGO 8 free software that came with the Rupse, seems to be more reliable.
I might treat myself to a Garmin when I get home . 340LM or 390LM

If TomTom got themselves organized and developed an offline mapping/route-planning program, they would be a serious alternative to Garmin, instead of second best.

Tonight it's put my start point hundreds of miles away in France despite it being correct on Tyre & IGO8!
