Do I get the micro sd, or the dvd

I know I can only update the dvd but is there pros and cons to either ?

What GPS do you have?

AFAIK you can put the micro card in any Garmin GPSR and use the mapping, but the DVD will be tied to one GPSR.

It`s for a Montana

I know the dvd will tie to one unit, but that also means I can mix maps at the same time by downloading from the dvd.

I went for the DVD as it can be updated and so I can have the maps I want on the card, and not be limited by the Montana's internal memory. And as I use a 32gd card, I can take pictures and have them on the card.
