A few years ago the National Parks (I believe) used a helicopter to take hundreds of dumpy bags of stone up there, and have made it into a serious of small steps all the way to the top to make it more suitable for walkers - so doubt a bike will ever legally ride it again!
Whilst this has ruined the natural look of the lane, it's nice to see that the evil rock steps just after the corner defeated them though
