Greetings,

I managed a ride to the nicest bakery locally, for bread and cakes
Roads dry and weather warm for November
Blew the lockdown cobwebs away and I took the backroads home
Saw 2 police cars and no bother

Do you think insurance companies would be able to wriggle out of any claims if one had an accident while riding during lockdown? is our insurance even valid?

No, and yes.
I doubt if anyone is asking if they can drive their cars. You are allowed out for 'recreation' and that falls under 'social, domestic and pleasure' use.
Big social gatherings are the main target of the current measures. There's a lot of over-reaction. The main thing to do is avoid injuring yourself, but horse-riding, for example is more dangerous than motorcycling and no one has banned horse-riding.

What a bunch of pussy call yourself adventure bikers... Yesterday I rode 450 miles over to Kent because it was sunny then back via the Sussex downs long way.. Wet and leaves on ground saw plenty of real bikers about.. Stopped for brews and had a laugh...
I think you should all sell your bikes... I'd of gone to France but the French customs wouldn't of let me in lol...

Can they wriggle out of a car claim ?
No law against not using a motorcycle for a journey
Just carry a newly wrapped loaf of bread in your top box
Your insurance is valid, fear not
Just don’t take the piss and congregate with 10 other bikers at a cafe

Really hoping that’s tongue in cheek.
My take is that Real bikers would be those who care about the elderly guys and girls who rode and had adventures even before we were born, and of course therefore we should be sensible enough to stay safe and protect them out of respect
Just remember that while it’s ok to ride we should all still maintain distance, keep hands sanitised and look after others
