when I first saw the Stonehenge site, half a century ago, I was shocked at the intrusion of the A303, and we could even walk through the site stones then, too, causing some damage. Mind, I always thought of the A303 as a mystical route through time and history?

I welcome the tunnel, in principle, and am sure that the British government will extend both ends to appease our committed admirers of our greatest historical asset, allegedly. . .. after all .. we are British and ... o .... o right, i get it now :?

Ok .. if only King Arthor was still around .. 8-)

From a general view .. we cannot deny the force and need of progress.
When the monument was built, it was progress, and destroyed some quarries and woods n stuff.
Just a bit of common sense is needed ... I have full faith ... :?
